Description: This is Luis Maurad's osxbar Karamba theme adapted to use my SuperKaramba python smooth zooming code. Now it really looks just like Mac Os X with real-time smooth icon zooming!
You NEED SuperKaramba 0.17f or higher to use this. It WON'T WORK with regular old Karamba.
If you want to change what programs run for each icon, just look in macosxbar.theme
If you want to change the icons that show up, look at the first few lines in macosxbar.python
You need an identical 64x64 and 128x128 icon for each icon on the bar (the small size and the zoomed size). The in-between sizes are created on the fly.Last changelog:
0.17g:
You need this version if you have upgraded to SuperKaramba 0.17g - otherwise there are no changes.
Hi, I am using SuSE Linux 8.2 and I seemed to have found TuxBar to be faster (weird, huh?). I think that the OS X Bar looks just like an OS X machine. Great Job!
I tried to run the karamba maaox.theme, only the top menu bar show up, the bottom bar is invisible, however I can find the "click-able" area on the bottom. Later on , I changed the macosxbar.theme, add one line
IMAGE X=0 Y=0 PATH="pics/bar.png"
well, this only make the background image show up. Where are all the icons???
Please help~~~
Hey , I just discovered super karamba (even before I knew about karamba itself, hahah) and couldnt resist trying the OSX bar. After installing everything I run karamba /path/to/osxbar.theme and only the top half of the bar shows at the bottom of the screen... how can I fix that?
Very very nice! I'd love to see one thats shorter and with a customizable width to add more icons, and have them start off small and get really big. Talk about eye candy!
I put KDE back on the comp at just the right time, this Karamba stuff is great :)
Could you send me an alternative macosxbar.py with support for more icons? I hacked yours, but it ran really slow after.
Thanx alot for making something I have been looking for, for over 1 year!

Hi, great job man... Is there a possiblity to have this theme for 1600x1200 screen resolution ?
I upgraded to 0.17j in order to use other themes, but I noticed that with this version the icons of OS X bar appear distorted...

why this bar is a little faster than the TUXBAR?¿?¿?
Runs absolutely smooth..... Tuxbar doesnt, and I dont understand why :(
Wow, it's much faster. I am not a big fan of the OS X taskbar but it's nice to see karamba working better.
