I don't suppose that you use the expose feature and then click on your desktop do you? Because whenever I do that it takes all of my lovely widgets with it. I was wonderign if you have a solution?
That's XGL X server + compiz window manager, just google for that and you'll fin a bunch of tutorials for setting that up on your box.
