Description: [Depends on KDE 3.3 beta 1 or higher]
* This theme - KaOrganizer - is a Karamba theme you can use to display your Korganizer events on your desktop. It uses the Konsolekalendar tool to extract your upcoming events. It should be part of your KDEPIM installation (>=3.2.0).
* Default it displays the next 7 days.
* Note: This is my first public Karamba theme. I had tweaked a lot of those themes before and even made one of my own to see what it can do for me. Hopefully you like my contribution, so I have the motivation to make more themes.Last changelog:
I really like this theme......exactly what I was looking for, but......it would really be nice to have a little more color (white or whatever) in the background....for one, when I display against a white background, the text looks good but you can barely tell there is a background image; and two, when I use it on a dark background, at the bottom of the background image where the white fades away, you can't see the black text from the dark background.....so maybe color selection as well as more color to the background (less transparency) would be great (if I had a wishlist it would be an "Aero-G" background included :)
Cheers and thanks for a great idea...I love it and I'm using it now with a well picked desktop wallpaper....I love the fact that I don't have to start Korganizer to get a quick look at my schedule)
Cheers
Eugene
(ps. I also changed it from 7 days to 3.....in my schedule it won't even display all entries from 3 days :)
I modified font colour by editing
the theme.
I noticed that all my tasks are disappeared even if I reload the theme or I update them. Note that, they are
present into korganizer.
any idea?
I got this error display in as item in KaOrganizer:
Nsicad's Calendar
Invalid Export Type Specified: Short
I'll e-mail you some comments on this.
Thanks, NS
The konsolekalendar app has a few different export types (text, html, csv, short). My version (and yours) doesn't seem to have short. I'm not sure if it was added or removed or what.
The best thing to do is either find a version of konsolekalendar with the short option or modify your korganizer.theme to have "--export-type text" instead of "--export-type short". It's pretty ugly though -- the information is to verbose for a simple list of appointments.
Change the Output konsolekalendar line in
korganiser.theme to something like this:
#Output konsolekalendar
text x=12 y=40 fontsize=10 font="Nimbus Sans L" color=0,0,0 sensor=program program="konsolekalendar --view --export-type text --show-next 7| egrep -v UID | egrep -v KOrganizer | egrep -v escription " interval=10000
It looks just a little bit better, i think!

I didn't know of the existence of the konsolekalendar tool. Good job.

I think you forget to include your KaOrganizer.py in your download file.
Or is it regular Karamba theme? Not SuperKaramba?
It is a SuperKaramba theme without python, so that makes it a Karamba theme also yes.
What version of KDE are you using? If you type this in the konsole what it is the output: konsolekalendar --help and post the output here? Cheers, J

That's why I used 'short'. I think it's a KDE 3.3 thing and I will update the requierements. Cheers, J

I totaly agree, but there are currently technical problems on kde-look, so I can upload the file like it should. I will try again tomorrow.
Can should read can't.
I don't personally use Korganizer, but I'm sure that others would like to see a screenshot of what this displays exactly on your desktop.
