This new one manages every sizes of images. You can configure : - images directory - resizing method (width fits to theme_size, height fits to theme_size or biggest value fits to theme_size) - an anchor for the positioning when images are resized (Top-Left, Top-Middle, etc...)

The picture changes every 5 seconds. But a longer intervall is better for my desktop.

I have amassed quite a bit of circumstantial evidence that this theme causes SK to crash sporadically -- or at least is associated with SK crashes.
Normally I run with ~12 themes in place, so it's been quite a pain to try to figure out which one is causing SK to crash, especially since it doesn't happen very often.
So I've been running various combinations of themes to see how stable they are, and so far the only theme that all the combinations that crashed have in common is this one; and I haven't seen a crash yet when this theme is not running.
So while I'm not saying that it's definitely causing a crash, I am getting fairly suspicious of it. I wonder if anyone else has experienced SK crashes while running this theme?
(I fully admit that it's pretty weird that ANY theme could cause SK to crash -- one would think that the worst that could happen is that the theme crash.)
OK - I have now convinced myself that it's not the theme's fault.
The version of SK that is shipped with 64-bit Mandriva 2006.0 is simply unstable. It crashes seemingly at random, sometimes after several days, more usually after a few hours. And it has a quite high probability of simply crashing on start-up.
I don't know whether this is just because it's the 64-bit version or what, but SK as shipped with that version of the OS is pretty frustrating. In fact, 64-bit apps in general seem to be rather too "bleeding edge" for comfort :-( Many of them are unstable.

Great theme. But I'm wondering, is there a way to select which directory I want it to load pictures from?
It seems to load a lot of pictures that I dont want on my desktop ;-)

look at the beginning of SkSlideShow.py for this.
no gui? :-( I know, not very linux like. But I like GUI and eye-candy :-) hurray for KDE!
I am not very good with menu management in Karamba themes... Perhaps for next releases
