Description: This is a SuperKaramba theme. It has been modified from the "smoothy" theme by "atac" to be a far more attractive theme. Some of the original modules from the "smoothy" theme have been removed, I kept only the most useful modules. The icon set is from the "crystal" theme from "everaldo". The backgrounds were created by me! I have done several changes in the coding for each module, these changes include the location of the objects and text, the size of the text as well as the color of the text. I hope you enjoy my theme!
NOTE: This is the TearDROP SYSINFO_ALL theme. It is different from the TearDROP SYSINFO theme. The "ALL" theme is NOT "module based". Everything moves together, and if one is removed then they all are removed.Last changelog:
1.00 Release (5/16/04)
- To Do: *Add more backgrounds *Add scripting so the user can easily change the background
First off this is a good looking theme. Problem is, my noobness won't let me set up a frame to monitor my swap partition. I managed to copy the script for the hard disc and make the changes so that I can see the usage on my other partitions. I guess what I'm wondering, is what to call my swap partition so I can see its usage.
Sure can, I have been planning to make a smaller one. Production for this them will pick up as I have installed VMware and I have a shared folder so I can use Adobe Photoshop in it. I have also installed Crossover Office (Wine) and I have installed Adobe Photoshop 7 in there as well, but Photoshop doens't load properly while its sidekick (ImageReady) does. That's why I have turned to VMware for now. I will start making this theme smaller.
...some more questions:
to use the mail function I have to add a special path to my mail-server. Normally I put something like "pop.whatever.de" and "mail.whatever.de" to add to the server, but I do not know, what kind of path you mean. Can you help me?
Well, most of the coding for this theme has come from the "Smoothy" theme, I think I still need to fix the mail feature b/c for some reason it is not working for me either. Not every SuperKaramba theme has the "Configure Theme" option enabled, to date LiquidWeather is one of the few themes that "I" have seen that have had the configure theme option. I will be adding that option soon so that when I create new backgrounds it will be easy for everyone to switch to a dif. background by simply going to the configure theme option.
The theme looks great however the 'configure theme' option is greyed out when I right click on it. I also run liquid weather and it works fine. Not sure if I'm doing something wrong. Please advise. Thanks and keep up the wonderful work!
I am having troubles setting up the mail moitor portion of it i cant seem to get the config right for it to check my mail any assisitance would b appreciated. Love this theme as well thanks.
The main thing that is holding me back from releasing new content faster is that I have not yet been able to get Wine to work. Once I can get Wine to run Photoshop then I will be releasing new backgrounds and themes much faster. If anyone has found a good guide on how to use Wine for Slackware then feel free to let me know.
Thanks!
I agree with all 3 of those suggestions! Thanks a lot. I do need to get a CPU image, I couldn't find one in the Crystal theme so I may need to make one, or if there is one in the crystal icon set then please let me know so that I made include it in there. I want to make my own set of icons soon, and a flat theme would be very nice. I definately do need to add the swap drive in with the memory as well. Some day............ In the distant future, I plan to code it all myself, but that will be a ways down the road. :-P
Thankyou very much for your suggestions, I will work to get most of those in with the next release. The flat theme may take a little while, but I am pretty good with my artistic ability (even though I didn't show that with that release as I used the crystal icon set) so it shouldn't be too far down the road that you will see the flat theme. And look forward to new backgrounds for the modules as well.
This is my very first SuperKaramba theme, I plan I creating more in the future! I hope you all like it! If you have any suggestions or if you would like something added then please let me know. If you have created new backgrounds for the theme then feel free to let me know and I will review them and most likely add them to the theme. I will be creating new backgrounds myself in the future so look forward to those!
Thanks,
TearDROP (Erik)
Hey!
Thankyou very much! :)
I am going to make several updates in the future, one thing I need to do is change the look of the status bars, and some other stuff I have mentioned in the "To Do" list.
Yes I agree, that would be very cool. But how could you show how long the computer is running with the clock? Unless you just want that one module to show 2 different things, the real time and the uptime. I don't know how to get the clock to move and show the real time though, maybe I'll look into that.

locked=false is the solution.
My KDE Taskbar is at the top of my screen and therefore covers part of the display.
Code should be added to detect the position and size of the Taskbar.

In no particular order: 1) CPU image for that module 2) Swap added to the RAM module 3) Flat theme! Keep up the great work!

Very nice work.

would be nice if the clock on the uptime was functional instead of a picture of a clock, otherwise very nice.

This is EXACTLY what I've been looking for! Great work.
Thanks! I am glad you like it! :)
