the top mac osx bar dosent stretch across my whole screen at the top it, only goes half way! if it went all the way it would be my favorite karamba app
Hi You did very well, I like it. Though, I think it's a pity that the icons in the dock don't hop when they are clicked, like they do in Mac OS X. gidoca
You do some nice coding with that bar! Keep up the nice coding!
the dock and osxbar used to be beautiful and correct...but now the dock is near the upper-left corner of the screen and the osxbar is near the bottom right! I tried reinstalling this and superkaramba, but so far no dice. Could somebody please help me?
Please disregard the above message. I fixed the problem by deleting the .rc files in /~/superkaramba.
How to do this? It says me access denied... (/opt/kde3/share/apps/superkaramba/karambaui.rc)
I am running 1280 X 1024 resolution and the upper bar's graphic stops about 500 pixels short of the right side of the screen. Is there any way to have it span the entire width of the screen? I have tried playing around with the config and have had no luck.
I've problems with bars.. they don't appears in the middle of the screen (x position) so they look like cutted... is there a way to move them? (Toggle position is locked) MAybe it's a stupid question but I'm new to this world.. BYez
Don't worry, you's no stupid. It's a good Q, and I'll try and find answer myself (If I has problems same as you). BTW, the best way to get rid of newbieness is to keep asking, don't listen to the mean haxers who say you must print hello world! infinitely before I tell you more.
I just downloaded the new SuperKaramba RPM package for Mandrake 9.1. That seemed to get rid of the problem loading the dock, but it is loading on the far right side of the screen. What are the values I need to enter to get it pulled further to the left so that it is centered on my display? Any help would be useful. Thanks.
There seems to be a bug, either in the .theme files or in Karamba itself, that prevents the theme from loading properly. The desktop menu on top of the screen works okay, but the dock doesn't even start up. Does anybody know what's going on that is keeping this theme from working?
"but the dock doesn't even start up" thats a big problem, i can not able to make it start at the beginning. could anyone help us? this theme never start up at the beginning. how can i make it run at the start ?
i cant install karamba.... the messages appear like this.... karamba.cpp:887:23: karamba.moc: No such file or directory make[3]: *** [karamba.o] Error 1 make[3]: Leaving directory `/home/makubex/karamba-0.16/src' make[2]: *** [all-recursive] Error 1 make[2]: Leaving directory `/home/makubex/karamba-0.16/src' make[1]: *** [all-recursive] Error 1 make[1]: Leaving directory `/home/makubex/karamba-0.16' make: *** [all] Error 2 how do i fix this...? wargghh...i wanna use that mac theme
Hi , thank you for the good work on the OS X bar that I managed to configure on my will. Still , I have a question : how to make that at startup KDE directly installs the bar and not to choose it from Karamba ?
Hey there, That's a really cool icon set. All penguins. I love it. Where can I get that from? Thanks!
Hey I'm back, i heard somewhere that my theme had died, well not really, i just didn't have the time to updated. Well Enjoy.
I actually would prefer the top bar working like in MacOS and like MacOS manubar works in KDE. I use that myself since I like that options of active window are always accessible at the top of my window. So it would be cool that when usin eg. Konqueror there would be "Location, Edit, View, Go, Bookmarks, Tools, Settings, Window, Help"-options. That should be possible doing little research on KDE internals.
I can't live without virtual console and a task bar. Well, task bar is not possible with current version of karamba.
Well if you press alt and then tab you can see the windows that you have open. Then to choose wich window you want to display, release tab while holding alt and press it again.
Might look better if you used the same font that OS X uses. Lucida Grande.
I did us the font Lucida Grande, in fact i included in the package for those who want to use it on their computer.
My problem is, if you set the theme using Karamba. Then you restart your machine, and then when you get back in, the bars may be out of locations (especially the bottom bar might be moved to the top of the scree)... Don't know if anybody else got this problem too.
The bug is not in my theme, actually I think is a problem with karamba.
you probably moved it by unlocking it - in order for it to stay, you need to edit the config file. right click on the karamba bar and click "Edit Configuration" and the first non-comment line (line w/out a '#' in front of it) is the setting for the location of karamba. Change the X= and the Y= to what you want. If you change it, save it, right click on karamba again and and press "Reload Configuration" it'll be in the spot you chose. Keep messing around with it until you get it right, and then next time you start that theme it'll be in the location you specified.
Since the bar are just plain image, so we need to actually edit the image to get them changed.. Can it be made such that it's just a container and you can then put whatever icons onto the bars? Don't know if it's easy.
