Description: StockWatch! is a SuperKaramba theme that periodically retrieves stock quotes from the internet. It uses Yahoo! Finance data to obtain quotes.

Can you help me?
Hi,
I use your stock watch but need an interresting enhancement.
I explain.
We can know the up or down evolution for stocks but can't directly know the gain.
Please, sincerely please enhance your stock watch by adding the buyed stocks like on this one stock watch (under windoz) : http://widgets.yahoo.com/gallery/view.php?widget=40285
Bye,
Miguipda ;-)
It has come to my attention that Yahoo will stop providing realtime ECN data starting September. This means that the Realtime-ECN option in StockWatch! will be useless starting September. I will be seeking alternative solutions for this but in the worse case, the Realtime-ECN option will be removed in the future.
Hmm... I have not much experience with proxies so I'm not sure how it'd work. I'd assume if you edit StockWatch.py, line 168:
csv = popen("wget -O- -q '" + yahoo_csv + stock[0] + "'",'r')
and modify the wget command line to use proxy would do the trick. But I'll see if I can work a better solution in the future.
Hi can it do it the same with this other 'bourse' website ?
http://www.boursorama.com/
Sincerely thanks and have a nice day.
Please never stop to support this so useful program.

Alot of this theme depends on yahoo finance data, so it is unlikely to work with another site. However, you may change the location of the url to another site by editing StockWatch.py and changing the 'yahoo_finance' variable. But that only works if your site accepts the same symbols as yahoo finance.
This is a nice theme. Functional and usable. I would like to be able to set Konqueror as my default browser (or anything, in principle).
Future nice features could also include fetching graphs, indicating whether the market is closed, and maybe fetching the stock names too.
I changed the background to transparent to go with the rest of the widgets on my desktop. Screenshot:

I'd like also to be able to make the font for the changes to be in color instead of the background and make that transparent too but I'm not smart enough to do that.
Nice work. I like the design.
Before i used StockQuotes, but your design is more nice.
I would like to easy change the color of the text, so that it better fits to my desktop style.
A "nice to have" would be if you can use this theme as a little portfeuille manager. So you enter your amount and buyprice of the stock, and will also see the price difference for your stocks ... Maybe an example is better to explain:
AMD 29$ +1,04$/+3% (20Pc|25$: +80$/+19%)

*gg* I completely misread the title as "Stork Watch!". Thought it maybe is something about pregnancy... :D

I don't see any proxy support

Try this patch http://f.rodrigo.free.fr/tmp/europe-west.diff . It's provide use of fr.finance.yahoo.com inside of finance.yahoo.com. So time are Paris time, and currency are euro.
thanks

You can change the browser by editing StockWatch.py and changing the 'browser' variable.
