Description: A simple AFoto-like digital picture framework... I made it because A-Foto never worked on my computer.
In this version, you can: - add photos by drag-n'-dropping them onto the theme (from your directories or even from Digikam) - remove pictures by clicking on the trash bin in the upper right corner - let the slideshow run OR manually scroll up/down (with the mouse-wheel) the theme

take a look at a-foto code. You will find a lot of neat things in it, that resolves what bothered initial a-foto users. For example, some cameras produce "jpeg" extension, as opposed to
jpg. Also, windows-loand users drag in files with capitalized extensions.
The neat way to seek out picture files is in the file plugin, using walk() function.
A-foto is GPL, copy-n-paste. don't reinvent the wheel unless you really need to.
Once you are happy with your creation and skill level, you are always welcome to help us at a-foto.
The thing is... it doesn't work at all on my machine. I've struggled a while with the code to go through the steps... but it gets stuck in initialization phase.
So I just did that theme quickly for me basically, didn't really intend to share it at first before I was told into doing it...
I would appreciate you going with me through some of the problems that you have with afoto.
Lot's of others would not have the patience, but since you found will to do something about it, this may be a beginning of a beautiful friendship. :)
