I'm shooting questions on every single theme you've uploaded here :D How can I get the amarok layout you have in this screenshot (context, media sources tabs in the bottom)? I've copied the qss settings you've posted above and called amarok (amarok --stylesheet /home/me/Guistuff/kde/amarok/tabs.qss) but nothing changed. Enlighten me please! ;)
Hmm, should be easy, just view -> lock layout -> off, then just drag the docks on top of each other :-)
It indeed is simple ;) Thanks once more :D
Hi , is it for amarok2 ? I'm trying with amarok --style ./amarok.qss But it told me amarok.qss was not found , so should i put it under ~/.kde4/share/apps/amarok/somewhere ? Thanks !
Yeah drop the svg to ~/.kde4/share/apps/amarok/images/ this path may vary depending on distribution. then empty kde-cache rm -r /var/tmp/kdecache-username then start amarok again. This file here has nothing to do with qss, it uses the amarok internal skinning engine. //Robert
Ah , sorry i put this comment in the wrong thread , still good for your comment ;-)
/home/username/.kde/ :~$ amarok -v Qt: 4.6.2 KDE Development Platform: 4.4.1 (KDE 4.4.1) Amarok: 2.3.0
huh? .kde? you must be using some strange dist... ...however, then it's here to extract: ~/.kde/share/apps/amarok/images/ if it does not work I have heard you have to empty kde cache also before starting amarok, do so by: rm -r /var/tmp/kdecache-$USER best of luck
>>The moodbar seems same as before. >>toolbar* note, amarok themes does not change the background of the toolbar (or the moodbar), just the objects like the track progress etc. If you want that you need one of these: http://kde-look.org/index.php?xsortmode=high&page=0&xcontentmode=9 I'd suggest the one called "bespin" :P
I actually extracted it to ~/.kde/.. because uses .kde not .kde4 anyway I tried removing my cache and still wouldnt would. Could it be because I have moodbar enabled?
yeah, it does not change moodbar... ...moodbar is not part of the amarok skinning system. The volume/play buttons still change yesno?
It seems everyone knows something that I dont. But how do I install this?
extract to: ~/.kde4/share/apps/amarok/images/
Thanks. I did that but didnt notice any change in appearance but thanks anyway :)
did you restart amarok? it doesnt check there for themes realtime... ...only when you start it.
I actually made the change before I started amarok. I only started it after I made the change to see if anything changed. The moodbar seems same as before.
toolbar*
okey then, pls paste the output of: kde4-config --localprefix amarok -v thx.
Will you stop enticing me back to KDE you fuck? Thanks for sharing the toolbar and the config. You should upload bespin configs more often, you fucker. /izo\
:D haha! Well that depends, is it working? :D The thing is... I dont see a reason for sharing bespin presets... is just a few clicks in bespin conf dialog anyway. Anyways, love your new project! You really are a perfectionist. I now understand what you mean about my fugly fonts btw, as I was browsing kde look at school with a "normal" screen... ...1280x1024.. on about 19", the fonts look funny yeah. But on my 23" 2048x1152 they look ok. I guess the pixels are so small or something that they look alright. Okeyokey... enough rant!
or whatever theme that is.... doesnt look very bespinish :)
theme is bespin yeah, I just use a qss file on amarok. sure you can have my bespin config: [BespinStyle] StoreName=main ARGB.Blacklist="smplayer,amarok,dragonplayer,vlc,vlc-wrapper,kscreenlocker" ARGB.Glassy=false Bg.Intensity=10 Bg.Modal.Glassy=false Bg.Modal.Invert=false Bg.Modal.Opacity=100 Bg.Mode=0 Bg.RingOverlay=false Bg.Structure=0 Bg.TooltipRole=9 Btn.ActiveRole=12 Btn.AmbientLight=false Btn.BackLightHover=true Btn.BevelEnds=true Btn.CheckType=1 Btn.Cushion=false Btn.DisabledToolStyle=0 Btn.FullHover=false Btn.Gradient=1 Btn.Layer=0 Btn.MinHeight=18 Btn.Role=9 Btn.Round=true Btn.Tool.ActiveRole=12 Btn.Tool.Gradient=1 Btn.Tool.Role=9 Btn.ToolConnected=true Btn.ToolSunken=1 Chooser.Gradient=1 GroupBoxMode=0 Input.PwEchoChar=8782 KWin.ActiveGradient=0 KWin.ActiveRole=10 KWin.ActiveText=0 KWin.InactiveGradient=0 KWin.InactiveRole=10 KWin.InactiveText=0 Menu.ActiveItemSunken=false Menu.ActiveRole=10 Menu.BoldText=false Menu.Glassy=true Menu.ItemGradient=0 Menu.OpacityARGB=200 Menu.Role=0 Menu.Round=true Menu.RoundSelect=true Menu.Shadow=false Menu.ShowIcons=false Progress.Gradient=2 Progress.RoleBg=0 Progress.RoleFg=10 QPalette\active=#353535, #c0c0c0, #f0f0f0, #dcdcdc, #464646, #646464, #404040, #ffffff, #404040, #ffffff, #d7d7d7, #444444, #96cafe, #000000, #4582be, #4273a3, #ffffff, #000000, #ffffff, #404040 QPalette\disabled=#a1a1a1, #b7b7b7, #f0f0f0, #dcdcdc, #464646, #646464, #9f9f9f, #ffffff, #8c8c8c, #f1f1f1, #d7d7d7, #434343, #c0c0c0, #979797, #4582be, #4273a3, #ebebeb, #000000, #ffffff, #404040 QPalette\inactive=#353535, #c0c0c0, #f0f0f0, #dcdcdc, #464646, #646464, #404040, #ffffff, #404040, #ffffff, #d7d7d7, #444444, #96cafe, #000000, #4582be, #4273a3, #ffffff, #000000, #ffffff, #404040 Scroll.ActiveRole=0 Scroll.Gradient=1 Scroll.Groove=1 Scroll.InvertBg=false Scroll.Role=9 Scroll.SlimSlider=true ShadowIntensity=100 ShadowTitlebar=false Tab.ActiveRole=10 Tab.ActiveTabSunken=true Tab.Gradient=0 Tab.Role=10 Uno=true Uno.Gradient=1 Uno.Role=1 Uno.Sunken=false Uno.Title=true Uno.Toolbar=true View.HeaderGradient=2 View.HeaderRole=10 View.ShadeLevel=0 View.ShadeRole=12 View.SortingHeaderGradient=3 View.SortingHeaderRole=10 just save as main.bespin and import in bespin settings. if you want the qss settings as well: QTabBar::tab:selected { border-color: #969696; border-style : none ridge ridge groove; border-width : 2px; border-top-color: #afafaf; background: qlineargradient(x1: 0, y1: 0, x2: 0, y2: 1, stop: 0 #d7d7d7, stop: 1 #d9d9d9); border-bottom-left-radius: 4px; border-bottom-right-radius: 4px; padding: 2px; padding-left: 12px; padding-right:12px; margin-bottom: 1px; } QStatusBar{ background: qlineargradient(x1: 0, y1: 0, x2: 0, y2: 1, stop: 0 #c0c0c0, stop: 1 #999999); border-top: 2px groove #aaaaaa; } /* SLIDERS */ QSlider::groove:horizontal { height: 6px; /* the groove expands to the size of the slider by default. by giving it a height, it has a fixed size */ background: qlineargradient(x1:0, y1:0, x2:0, y2:1, stop:0 #909090, stop: 0.2 #999999 stop:1 #bbbbbb); margin: 2px 0; border: 1px #cfcfcf; border-style : none none solid none; border-radius : 2px; margin-top: 2px; margin-bottom: 2px; } QSlider::handle:horizontal { background: qlineargradient(x1:0, y1:0, x2:1, y2:1, stop:0 #ffffff, stop:1 #d0d0d0); border: 1px solid solid double solid; border-color: #909090; height: 8px; width: 8px; border-radius: 5px; padding: 0px; } /* SCROLLBARS */ QScrollBar:vertical { border: none; background: qlineargradient(x1:0, y1:0, x2:1, y2:0, stop:0 #a9a9a9, stop:0.3 #d0d0d0 ,stop:1 #e6e6e6); width: 12px; margin: 20px 0px 20 0px; } QScrollBar::handle:vertical { background: qlineargradient(x1:0, y1:0, x2:1, y2:0, stop:0 #ffffff, stop:1 #d0d0d0); border: 1px solid; border-color: #909090; border-radius: 4px; padding: 4px; width: 10px; min-height: 20px; margin-left: 2px; margin-right: 2px; } QScrollBar::add-line:vertical { border: none; background: qlineargradient(x1:0, y1:0, x2:1, y2:0, stop:0 #a9a9a9, stop:0.3 #d0d0d0 ,stop:1 #e6e6e6); height: 20px; subcontrol-position: bottom; subcontrol-origin: margin; border-width: 2px; border-color: #999999; border-style : none none ridge none; } QScrollBar::sub-line:vertical { border: none; background: qlineargradient(x1:0, y1:0, x2:1, y2:0, stop:0 #a9a9a9, stop:0.3 #d0d0d0 ,stop:1 #e6e6e6); height: 20px; border-width: 2px; border-color: #999999; border-style : groove none none none; subcontrol-position: top; subcontrol-origin: margin; } QScrollBar:up-arrow:vertical, QScrollBar::down-arrow:vertical { background: qlineargradient(x1:0, y1:0, x2:1, y2:1, stop:0 #ffffff, stop:1 #d0d0d0); border: 1px solid solid double solid; border-color: #909090; height: 6px; width: 6px; border-radius: 4px; padding: 0px; } QScrollBar::add-page:vertical, QScrollBar::sub-page:vertical { background: none; } QAbstractItemView{ border: 2px #999999; border-style: groove none ridge none; } Im sure the code is very fkd up, im noob.

Thank you very much but I have one question. I use the same qss-file you posted in your content about domino tabs in dolphin. But mine looks different. Here is a screenshot: http://yfrog.com/2mbildschirmfoto1op The marked areas look different to yours. I use your bespin and color scheme and also your qss-file from the domino dolphin content. How can I make it look like yours? Best regards!
