With all the OSX imitations you see around here, it seems like something like this wouldn't be so hard to find. Thanks for filling in this gap! BTW, I use Mediafire for file hosting. I haven't been using it long, but the thing that made me try it was how painless it was to download stuff from there in the past. Give it a shot - I wouldn't mind getting those packages. :-D
The link to the archive is dead. /izo\
Got it to work, thanks for the help.
Forgive my ignorance, but how do I install this? In Control Center's KDM manager I can only choose a background, but other than that not really change the appearance to your screenshot. I'd like to use this one, it looks very neat. Thanks :)
if you are using kubuntu or a debian based system type sudo aptitude kdmtheme, then run kcontrol and go into System Administration and then KDM Theme Manager and select the theme of your choosing, I don't know if sudo yum install kdmtheme will work but it is probably worth a try.
You can also edit the kdmrc file to use it. I don't know where it will be on your system, on mine it's in /opt/kde/share/config/kdm/kdmrc a locate will reveal the location of this file. Inside it there should be a line reading 'Theme=/path/to/theme', it may be commented out, if it is uncomment it and change the path to either the folder containing the theme, or the .xml file. If it isn't there just add it.
Also I forgot to say the line UseTheme should be set to true: UseTheme=true If you cant be bothered looking through the file to see if these lines exist do cat /path/to/kdmrc | grep Theme At least you will know if they are there then.
I have packages for GNU/Linux, FreeBSDm Kubuntu, SuSE, Debian, Fedora and ArchLinux but I don't have enough space to upload them all, does anyone know a free file hosting site?
nice copy, but you could use a generic tux for linux, and a KDE icon for BSD/other OSs.
sure, I'll get to work right away.
