The reason for this is the icon themes file structure does not match what gnome is looking for - can be fixed with lots of renaming and copying to match the files and folders of a working iconset. Will post fix when finished.
I just LOVE these! So professional-looking compared to all the other teletubby-overstyled sets.

Few will, but it's so very nostalgic. I really enjoy them. I've thought about using these icons and trying to create a GTK & Metacity theme that resemble IRIX.
Oh, the good old days.
Having worked with SGI Indigo systems for three years at a University, these icons are dead on. However, I think few will find these icons pleasing, except us who remember those systems.

Hey, I tried to install this icon set on intrepid ibex but it doesn't display properly. Some file types changes but the folders don't.
Same problem here on Hardy Heron.
