Description: This work is zima's (http://gnome-look.org/content/show.php/Pidgin+Naiads+Tray?content=114979) own.
Pidgin's 2.7 uses now GtkStatusIcon, and it seems it breaks old directory scheme for tray icon without notice. I renamed the files to reflect those changes and keep this awesome work updated.
I'm afraid the local install of the icons doesn't work anymore, I had to install them to /usr/share/pixmaps/pidgin/tray/. If anyone can see to that, it would be nice to have again the option of installing it locally only (besides you don't lose the fancy icons with every pidgin update).
Just copy the 'hicolor' directory inside this package to /usr/share/pixmaps/pidgin/tray/, replacing the old one.Last changelog:
Change in naming and directory schemeing to reflect upstream changes in Pidgin 2.7.
You are right, thanks for the notice.
Indeed it is Saturday and I've been drinking some beers ;-)
Now I've packed both within the same file. Enjoy.
And I should also notice this is not my work at all, I just updated zima's package. Kudos to them.
It is still broken. I had to rename package to .tar. Only after it is extractable.
All due credits to Zima ;)
I am using Pidgin 2.7.1 and just copy pasting old Naiads icons those used to go in ~/.local/pixmaps/pidgin/tray didn't work.
Pidgin has changed its naming scheme so the icon for showing online status is "pidgin-tray-available.png" and not only "tray-available.png". Also the folder names are changed to "16x16", "22x22" etc. (I compiled from source so I can't tell for sure if folder names "16", "22" will work or not.)
For conversion I wrote this trivial script http://pastebin.com/Q3g5AhWf to rename icons correctly. You will have to run it from all folders one by one ;) This works and I can see new icons in tray right after Pidgin restart.
Glad it's working for you.
There's a delay in the posting, the packages were already fixed. Just remember to put the extracted 'hicolor' directory inside '/usr/share/pixmaps/pidgin/tray/'.

All the packages were incorrectly added with .gz extension. Remove .gz and packages will extract normally.
Hi, the first package is broken and the 2nd link is broken. Could you fix them? Thanks for the work, the icon theme is my favorite so far.
