Link for download iis don`t work ;(
I like it so mutch
ignore my previous comment mate! see that there is an xtensive gallery at fedoraproject about the theme! my bad! sorry about that!
Luks gud mate! but i guess to get an overall picture of the theme it wud be better to add one or two extra screenshots, to have an idea about the filetype icons, mimetypes etc.!
I like it, its not the better theme (tangor r0x xD), but I think this is a good update from de old Bluecurve theme
what were fedora thinking, this iconset is horrible..... worse than blucurve and worse than tango
This tame is really bad, just take a look at the arrows in nautilus... too ugly. I really prefer the old bluecurve icons
I like the way you threat privacy and security. I am trying to reach the same heights, currently I am nowhere near :) on the topic: the folder icon is nice.
"I like the way you threat privacy and security. I am trying to reach the same heights, currently I am nowhere near :)" if a gibberish url will lead you down the path of violated privacy and destroyed security then you have bigger problems to worry about than a snafu on my part. I'm fixing it.
Link broken
What's the name of the theme used in the screenshot?
nice work packing the icons super crappy host :( it doesnt allow to finish downloads
Can you get someone else to replicate this problem? It completes the download without any hassle on two different machines for me.
... I think Bluecurve is still better.
That is one crappy preview... How about posting a picture that actually shows the icons?
Hi! You can download it by here: http://bashitalia.netsons.org/ilgufo/Echo.12.feb.tar.bz2 @cakeandtea: you can send me the tarball by email when you update it ( theowlnet[at]gmail[dot]com ) and i'll upload it on my website, if you want. Regards ;-) ilgufo
Hey, thanks for the offer. I might just take you up on that :).
Could you edit them?
Yeah, sorry about that. Bandwidth limit sort of snuck up on me. I'm working on finding a different host.
you'd think Fedora could do better...compared to the icon art their competitors (novell, ubuntu, the kde project) are doing, you'd think they would have come up with a more pro-looking icon set. Bluecurve may be outdated, but it looks way more consistent and professional than this one. Thanks for packaging it, though. You're doing a good service to the community, and I'm sure plenty of people will appreciate it too.
Well, it's still being heavily developed. It's nowhere near done at this point, so it may be a little premature to condemn it.
I'm not too fond of it either. I think it could be a lot cleaner looking. The edges of the fonts are not strong enough for my liking.
1. The fonts are not a part of the theme. 2. The preview is compressed somewhat, which I'm betting doesn't help the apparent quality of the fonts.
Why don't you just use PNG for the preview instead. It's lossless. You have to take a new shot, tho.
Sorry I don't think I meant to say fonts. Looking back I think I meant the edges of the icons could be stronger. They sort of fade off. I really like the stronger edge contrast that tango icons have.
