Description: This is an icon theme based on my other theme "nuoveXT" and "Windows Vista".
It is strongly recommended to have NuoveXT (1.5) installed to use this theme, simply because it inherits it (all mimetypes for instance).
For those who is wondering: Metacity: Blendish (http://www.gnome-look.org/content/show.php?content=27002) GTK: Clearlooks-Etiquette from the Big pack (http://www.gnome-look.org/content/show.php?content=25557) Wallpaper: breathe easy (http://www.deviantart.com/deviation/22134277/) Icons: ;-)
Constructive feedbacks are, of course, welcome ;-) Hope you'll like it. SakiLast changelog:
It's sad to see a great theme lose its usefulness by becoming obsolete. Please check out and use my Mashup icon theme which is live and fresh with regular updates. Here is the link:

The new version of nuovext does not integrate with this theme.
If you want to integrate it, you have to rename nuoveXT-1.6 to 1.5 on your .icons folder.
That is the default dock in GNOME. Just change the panel properties to NOT expand and you can then add applications and other goodies from the right click menu.
If you have trouble getting it to inherit properly
Open index.theme in ~/.icons and change the line which begins Inherits... with this one
Inherits=nuoveXT-gnome-1.6,nuoveXT-1.6,
This will allow it to inherit from nuoveXT-1.6 which is the latest one you can download
Hope that helps.
Tom
using gnome 2.12.1, when i open up nautilus in browser view, the icon for the computer icon is missing. it shows a white page with a red x in the middle of it instead. good theme aside from that, though.
"It is strongly recommended to have NuoveXT (1.5) installed to use this theme, simply because it inherits it (all mimetypes for instance). "
I have have both nuoveXT-1.5 and your theme installed in ~/.icons and your theme is only inheriting the ugly default GNOME theme from /usr/share/icons/gnome.
Are you sure about those directions?
Nice icon theme, but for some reason its not inheriting from NuoveXT-1.5. I have the themes installed under the .icons folder in $HOME. In order to get the NuoveXT-1.5 icons to show up I had to make a copy of the NuoveXT-1.5 theme overwrite some of the contents with the Vista-Inspirate theme and then use it. Any ideas why its not inheriting?
But mine reads "Inherits=nuoveXT-1.5,nuoveXT-1.4,nuoveXT-1.3,nuoveXT-1.2,nuoveXT-1.1,nuoveXT-1.0,gnome"
Did you delete all that and replace it with just "Inherits=nuoveXT-1.5"?
I have to agree. Most icons are great, but there's something not quite right about the home icon.
Of course that's just our opinion; other's may think it's fine...
You should at least know, and as I said I like everything else.
Hi!
I think your all the art works is the "near the perfect".
The Linux world need similar great artist like you.
If the KDE's or GNOME's developers does not looking for the great artist te help devel the appearances for the KDE4 or above, then the linux (for the desktop users) never will be popular like Windows. Unfortunately the Windows most popular like Linux.
Sorry my english, I'm a hungarian guy with poor english:)
PS.: is the KDE Icon theme will be available some day?

All the work that went into this one...what a waste.

This theme nolonger works correctly under Ubuntu Hardy due to the new version of Gnome changing much of the icon naming scheme.
It should be gnome-panel with transparent background.

What dock is that?
What dock are you using?
I can't download the package. nuovext.pwsp.net seems down. Is there a mirror for this icon package? Thanks

Your icons are great, but I don't like the HOME icon. Could you please make alternatives versions? Thanks.

Don't know why, but my StarterBar Desklet doesn't show your icons properly. http://gdesklets.gnomedesktop.org/categories.php?func=gd_show_app&gd_app_id=210 Here is one screenshot of the bug http://www.dcc.ufmg.br/~felipead/pool/bug.png
