Description:
This is my first Gnome icon theme. It's based on mattahan's great icon set, GANT.
I tried to fit in as much as possible, hunting down all of mattahans' releases and combining them into one.
Some icons might be missing for one of two reasons. They may not exist, as big as the GANT set is
some icons are still lacking. Another reason is that I might have overlooked it. If the reason an icon is
missing is due to me, please let me know.
I would like to thank mattahan for his permission.
I hope that you will like this theme as much as I do.

What do you guys think of the spinner? Too flashy, or is it ok? Last changelog:

------
added throbber/spinner for nautilus
added many device icons
these, I simply don't have icons for:
gnome-dev-flashdisk
gnome-dev-flashkey
gnome-dev-media-cf
gnome-dev-media-ms
gnome-dev-media-sdmmc
gnome-dev-media-sm

i usually prefer themes like tango or gion but this one is really great, i hope soon there will be everey icon needed but even like this is a great work, gratz to you and manhattan
Mp3 icons won't display. Still displays same ubuntu mp3 icons. Any idea how to change this???
Thanks for your time. I appreciate so much this work, and every individual that understands Gnome-GNU-Desktop here must do it. I preffer more "serious" icon themes -not toonish- but this is the most long life icon theme in my self-paranoic-theme-me-for-intellectual-comfort desktop. The most notable thing is a good "proffesional" look. Much of the best remarked icon themes doesn't have that -its very difficult, I know- but this -icon- theme goes beyond all marks. NOTE: Put best screenshots here, IMO -Every one- excuse my poor English.
If you experience that the back and forward buttons in nautlius are not the ones from the theme just do this: Go inside the folder of the theme. Get inside the folder 128x128 .. then stock folder. Look inside, you wil find 2 icons named gtk-go-forward.png and gtk-go-back.png, just create a copy of them and rename them: gtk-go-forward-ltr.png and gtk-go-back-ltr.png ...It works like a charm
gotta love matts icons, thanks for making this set for us linuxers :) the only set I've been using for quite some time now...can never switch again, never
which wallpaper is it in the 2nd screen? the green/blue one with scanlines
Impossible to download from deviantart site :(
sorry it must have been just a bad day. toady it works fine
i wonder if you got it working, i sent you an e-mail a long time ago. just checking
Thx for this icons. It's a great icon :) But there are some bug. I am not sure. But I get this report when i use this icons:
/usr/share/themes/Glossy P/gtk-2.0/icons/iconrc:23: Unable to locate image file in pixmap_path: "gtk-bookmarks.png" /usr/share/themes/Glossy P/gtk-2.0/icons/iconrc:24: Unable to locate image file in pixmap_path: "gtk-bookmarks.png" /usr/share/themes/Glossy P/gtk-2.0/icons/iconrc:53: Unable to locate image file in pixmap_path: "gtk_zoom-100.png" /usr/share/themes/Glossy P/gtk-2.0/icons/iconrc:54: Unable to locate image file in pixmap_path: "gtk_zoom-fit.png" /usr/share/themes/Glossy P/gtk-2.0/icons/iconrc:55: Unable to locate image file in pixmap_path: "gtk_zoom-in.png" /usr/share/themes/Glossy P/gtk-2.0/icons/iconrc:56: Unable to locate image file
So i try to fix it by my self: - rename gtk-bookmark.png to gtk-bookmarks.png - edit in icons/iconrc begin line 53 - line 56 - rename gtk_zoom-100.png to gtk-zoom-100.png - rename gtk_zoom-fit.png to gtk-zoom-fit.png - rename gtk_in-100.png to gtk-zoom-in.png - rename gtk_zoom-100.png to gtk-zoom-out.png Sorry if I wrong. I'm newbie for linux. Thx. God Blessthats weird. what are you using distro/gnome version. also did you read the "DONT READ ME" file? it tells you how to set up the stock icons
I am using ubuntu and had read the instruction. I get that error and I think it's can be happen for any distro cause something missing at the iconrc. Please check out it at line 23, line 53 - line 56 Something missing with that line and the image name. Please check it. Sorry if i wrong. Thx
ugh i dont have the same icon rc as you, just e-mail it to me
i'm an idiot. i meant to say gtkrc. oops
What Metacity theme are you using in the screenshot 1? The GTK+ is Graphite 1.2 , isn't?
Sorry, it is not Metacity; but rather it is Openbox. And that theme is on my site. If you are not using/don't want to use openbox. A good window border theme for metacity is this: http://art.gnome.org/themes/metacity/710

well done, all icons look wonderful! :) but I have a problem: I can see all your icons but the gtk-go-back and the gtk-go-forward ones (I see the classic two Gnome icons in exploration file windows).I'm using Ubuntu 5.04. can you help me?
Read the "DON"T READ ME" file in the tarball. It gives instructions on how to edit the gtkrc in your selected theme to get the stock icons working.
He he... what he said :)
maybe i should just change it to "Read Me"
thanks, it's perfect now. :)
I love the GANT icons! You should mix in some umicons though for certain apps (like realplayer, xmms, etc). Also, where can I find that metacity theme in your screenshot?
