Hi, I noticed that the ends of your main menu (at bottom) don't have the junky looking separators on them. [ you know, the little white separators that have like 10 dots in the middle and look kinda ugly and old-school linux/unix style ] I was wondering how you changed the image for them.. I've been looking about and can't find anything on it. Thanks.
If you're talking about the panel at the bottom of his desktop, that's the Avant Window Navigator. You can learn about it here: http://code.google.com/p/avant-window-navigator/
I've been looking for this for SO long! And it looks totally perfect; what did you use to make it?
just the GIMP glad you like it.
Really? I've been messing around with it forever and this is the best I've come up with: http://i153.photobucket.com/albums/s236/thevoiceless/panel2.png Any advice? All I did was one color as the top part and another one as the bottom, with different opacities, I can't get the hang of the actual glass look...
i started with a totally transparent image, chose the gradient-fill tool at about 55% opacity and went from black to white downward (you can adjust the intensity of the gradient by how far out of the image you begin or end the fill). then selected a strip along the top and used the same tool to fill downward, white to transparent. took like 2.5 minutes.
How did you get the gradient to stop right in the moddle?
by using the box-selector tool and only applying the 2nd gradient to the top half of the image.
Ah...duh, haha I feel stupid Thanks!
