I think it's much nicer than the deafault one (wich still mixes crystal and hicolor).
The first screenshot shows the new splashscreen while the second shows the default one on the cvs. To download my splashscreen click on the download button.
Tell me what you think about it, and please, don't be too cruel...afterall this is my first work
To install it you must copy splash.png to
/usr/kde/cvs/share/apps/kontact/pics
and overwrite the old one!
Of course the license is GPL!

know how the default splashscreen of Kontact looks. But yours look nice ... :-) Maybe you should inform the Kontact-developers about this. Fab
there are often updated CVS-HEAD debs here: deb http://kde.rb-hosting.de/~jens/kde/debian ./ the it's the usual apt-get install kontact ;)
thanks for the link but ive tried those and they require kde 3.2. and im not willing to take the plunge yet for trying out beta stuff. unless theres a way to install just the kontact package w/o requiring the others?
ive been looking at kontact but since im running debian the directory hierarchy and others ( and damn X includes cannot be found) are much different. how is kontact? i was looking for an alternative to evolution, reason being i cant find a good gtk interface to go with the rest of mosfets liquid. if anybody has found debs for debian sid please post!
