Description: I did some searching and found out the office splash should be a BMP file. it depends on your distro where you find it and how they name it. I found these examples. Mandriva: /usr/lib/ooo-2.0/program/intro.bmp Ubuntu: /usr/lib/openoffice/program/openintro_ubuntu.bmp you have to log in as root to replace it. Rename the original and put this file with the originalname in its place.Last changelog:
I fixed the right top corner that was missing some color.
Hi,
tried to find out how to change the standard splash screen of OO and use the nice " Splashscreen open-office.org" instead.
The install button on the kde-look page leads merely to the installing of KDE-Spash screens.
Pls. tell me how to do that with OO.
I downloaded recently the opensuse version 2.2.
TIA Ulrich
Bravoul,
Most programs use a png file as splashscreen.
In open office it should be a bmp file,
so I uploaded a bmp file.
Download the bmp file and folow the instructions i published with it.
succes,
Gie
