if you want to turn the wallpaper into a GRUB image you'll have to resize the image to 640x480 and turn it into a 15-color image. i do all this with gimp. of course you can send me the image too and i'll do it for you. my e-mail is der.ich95@googlemail.com

GRUB

How to install a grub theme:

  1. Extract the theme to /boot/grub/themes/

  2. Edit /etc/default/grub file. Find the line starting with "#GRUB_THEME" and change it to "GRUB_THEME=/boot/grub/themes/[THEME_FOLDER]/[theme.txt]" (replace [THEME_FOLDER] ; [theme.txt] is probably OK ; remove "[]" brackets)

  3. Run sudo update-grub
