i'm making my own version a reality.
my work so far: http://www.2shared.com/file/wJAeB3V2/workingtar.html
no screen on this small monitor can really do it justice, so if you want to take a look, just download it ;)
Thanks very much =D _ you're no slouch yourself in fact you're one of the best - do you think you could help me out on the notebook if you have some time spare sometime it would be appreciated and high up in the credits list with links to contributors?
hi ceebeebg,
first i `d like to answer your 4 questions. i slipped them the last time.
1. yeah, you should do
2. yeah, i `d use it
3. i `d use murrine engine, because of its possibillities, availability and its speed
4. (this answers your question to me as well) hmm, i `d like to help and could try something, but currently i have to work a lot, so this could really last.
cheerz
What I don't know yet but, if a few people get involved we'll share the workload for now though it would be interesting to see some window control ideas...
Thanks for your feedback, Scrolls huh yep they will move through 4 color states depending on activity but yes maybe a little more contrast...
You do a lot of work for and with gimp and your Gnome Shell work has been first rate - any chance you could knock up a matching shell for the thing? :D
Thanks.
It would be a bit tricky because GNOME Shell doesn't support non-uniform borders yet and your theme has some tricky inner bevels.
The CSS3 in GS is a bit limited but hopefully the devs will add these features at some point.
Exciting developments old Gnome supporting css and more, If you get the spare time or inclination to see how close a match might be possible it would be great... thanks again...

You can make something close to your mockup for the notebook with the pixmap engine, but tabs must either overlap or not have roundness.

It looks very interesting. If you are able to put the tabs in the middle it would be great!
Thank's D that will probably the most challenging part... of the initial design...
the only thing is that the scroll bar is so big, but it should be easy to improve :D
yes scrollbars are simple enough no worries there... :)
it looks so cool :D
Thank's you are welcome to contribute - This is not exclusive thing, it's an all inclusive :)
what could i do? what engine? i've only ever used pixmap.

Looks good and you should carry on. I think the scrollbar blends in too much though. You should make it lighter to improve the theme's usability
