Description: Here's the official KDE splash screen from my website Alien Reverence. Just a little something I came up with. I did everything in the Gimp except the icon set which came from the Alienware themed splash screen. Let me know what you think, hope someone enjoys itLast changelog:
1)slight changes to theme file
2) Thought I'd mention the theme says 'Analyzing Alien Technology' at the bottom where all the loading text is. This messege is only displayed for a second, afterwards the usual loading kde stuff comes on. Thought it was fitting

and about the "beyond understanding"
u could also put "keep beeing different"
there that belongs to linux ; )
Hi! I like the image, but the font in the text saying "Beyond understanding" IMO should be changed to a more "alien-looking". The current font reminds me baroque style (I dislike baroque). Pehaps a font like "Crillee", "Futura_poster" or "Impact Condensed" would be more appropriate.

I picked the font because it seemed a little odd and seemed to fit into my theme okay. Personally I like it :) Though I was interested in your comment and found that I don't seem to have any of the 3 fonts you mentioned. You have me curious :) If you let me know where I might find these files, let me know. Or you could even email them to webmaster@alienreverence.com. I'd be willing to try it out and perhaps offer an alternative version in conjunction with the one I already have here. Anyone else think the project could be benefited by changing the 'Beyond Understanding' Font?
This looks great! I downloaded it and tried to install it. The kde splash screan did not recognize the file. When I tried to install manually all I get is a blue box. So I downloaded it again and the same thing. Possable corrupt file on upload?

I have taken a look at the tarball and made a few change's to the theme.rc, you must extract the contents of this file to the Ksplash directory (ex. /usr/share/apps/ksplash/themes) So the directory that is created after you extract should be AlienRev. I'm using it right now and it works great. If the problem was a corrupt upload, that should be fine now. I have downloaded it from this page and then installed to my KDE sucessfully. Thanks for your intrest and comment, much appreciated :) Let me know if you still experience difficulties
