Have M8.1, Ximian with various other bits tacked on over time... worked when I dropped the included lib/ and share/ into /opt/kde3 Using Kde 3.0.2.
For those of you getting only the KDE defaults when you try and select Keramik, try this... it worked for me. Rather than copying the files in the lib/kde3 section to /opt/kde3/lib/kde3 directory, instead copy them to /usr/lib/kde3 By doing that, I was able to run it, and get everything looking correct. I should mention, I'm running Mandrake 8.2 with KDE 3.0.1. Good luck!
Mandrake 8.2 and KDE 3.0.1 works great but with the RPM on ftp://ftp.ibiblio.org/pub/Linux/distributions/contrib/texstar/Mandrake-8.2/RPMS/
Every time it is selected and applied the window decoration returns to default. All permissions have been checked, and files are in the correct locations. CipheR
MDK8.2 here, put the files in /opt/kde3/lib/kde3 and /opt/kde3/share/apps/kwin nothing... It shows up in Look and Feel, but when I apply it, it turns to default style. (?) permissions are alright, too. This sucks! I've been waiting for Keramik! :)
same here :(
Glad it's working on other distro's : )
Thirst decoration that makes me remove the liquid deco.
KDE 3.0.0 Final
works on SuSE 8.0!
Also works on Slackware8.0 Thanks.
That font is too nice !!! I want them !!!!
for the menu are Arial Bold and for the file manager I use Tahoma. Of course they are anti-aliased and I am using a hacked X11R6 lib by Keith that "sort of" gives a clear-type rendering of the fonts.
I installed these files in KDE 3.0.1, and I get nothing. The window decoration is the same as before.
If your sure you have the placed the files in the right directory, I don't know why it doesn't work. Perhaps your version of QT is beta?
Jeah your new compiled pack works also on Debian Woody ... I have compiled kde3 into the main path /opt/kde3 an it works perfect!! Big thx and wow its great! martin...
Good work! Dropped into place beautifully on Debian (unstable) with kde3 in /opt/kde3!
