your right they probably are copyrighted, but then you'd be hard pressed to find an icon for these games that isn't based on the originals.

All I did was add a helmet and chainguns to the second-generation tux picture from Wikipedia. I don't feel like looking for a link at the moment, just search Wikipedia for "tux the penguin" and you'll find it." that's a quote by...you i believe.
Anyway I like tux and you don't have to download it, do you jerk.

Slapping a picture of Tux on an icon doesn't make it good.
Also, I'm pretty sure the logos for Doom 3, Neverwinter Nights, and Quake are NOT GPL.
