Description: This is a just a preview of an icon set I am working on. Its the Gentoo icons, only im making them into a KDE icon theme format for easy use in KDE. Doing this cus I really like the way they look. But its turning out to be more dificult then I imagined (what with all the resizing and stuff).
So tell me what you think. If people seem to like them, then I will continue my project. (maybe even make some for apps that wer not originally included).Last changelog:
added a screenshot of my desktop in order to show some progress. <img class="decoda-emoticon" src="/emoticons/happy.png" alt="">
Thanks! My theme is a combination of the good ol' Keramik style and 20.1oz IceWM window decoration. Both I think you can get here (and Keramik is standard in KDE 3.1) The wallpaper is MegaTokyo, I got that here: http://gladstone.uoregon.edu/~tosberg/wallpaper/wallpapers.html
:-)
Good luck with that. I tried a few months ago to do that exact same thing, but i found that when the icons get scaled below 32x32 its too hard to see what they are. I might suggest you have crystal be the default icons for resolutions lower than 32x32, as these gentoo icons are great, but they really only look good on the desktop. I hope all goes well though, and i;ll try and find the ones that i did too, there were only about 20 of them, but it'd save you some time.
Yes, I know that one. The Marble icons have the same unfortunate problem. I think thats why Markus only made 48 and 32. That is probably what Ill do. That way, you can have whatever icons you want for below that. And as for the icons you have done. Thank you very much, but I am nearly finished. I already have all of them at 48. All I need is 32x32 versions.
But, a lot of work has gone into the marble icon set and you would be doing a lto fo reinventing the wheel, how about you just try to extend the set to bring it up to speed.
It seems like a huge task to achieve what marble has.
I understand what you mean. But I dont think adding it to the Marble set would be good, since this is not my set. Im just taking the Gentoo set and making it in the for of a KDE set.

Isnt this just the marble icon set?
Its a bit different. The main things different are the shadows and that all the marbles are the same color. (greyish-blue)
