Gentoo Ebuild for *RAD.E8 Icons
Source (link to git-repo or to original if based on someone elses unmodified work):
Just 'tar -jcvf' this file in your ${PORTDIR_OVERLAY} directory, and all seven RAD.E8 icon sets will be ready to emerge!
* THERE ARE NO CHANGES TO THE EBUILD. I just had to update this entry to change the link to the file download. Sorry.
*3.1-r2: Gave up on having configurable icon sizes. Couldn't figure out why the auto-generated index.theme file wasn't working properly.
Switched to static index.theme generation, instead.
Also moved installation from $KDEDIR/share/icons to /usr/share/icons
*3.1-r1: Fixed the problem with icon sets not showing up in the KDE control panel.
*3.1: Initial release to the general public

Hi Praxxus, What font / colors are you using in your image-previews ? they look very nice.
I seem to also be getting the issue with the icons being reconized. Other than that everything emerged ok. Great Work.
Thanks for putting effort into these icon set ebuilds! The icon set still doesn't get seen by KDE (3.4). However, they DO get seen when I rename the SNOWE2-RAD.E8 directory to SNOWE2-RAD for example. The "." is interfering with KDE? The icon's don't work, though. When I select the icon set, KDE defaults to crystalsvg for all icons. :/
very nice set, but where can I get these fonts????
I honestly couldn't tell you. I just re-used some of mitre's screenshots for this.
From you both Yep, same problem here with the icons not registering although i've got a couple of other problems i'm sorting out with kde atm so it may be related to one of those, if I findout i'll post. Other than that, nice idea m8, cheers :) I love the graphite icons and they're always the first thing to go on when I do an install but the .buildset has always detered me from trying the others (i'm lazy and happy enough with graphite really) so this is a perfect way to try them all out.
Hi there, I've tried your ebuild on latest gentoo, but no matter what I cant get the icons to show in the control panel. They install in /usr/kde/3.4/share/icons/ and i've even tried to put it in my home directory under .kde3.4/share/icons/ Any ideas ?
The ebuild was generating index.theme files, but apparently not to KDE's satisfaction. I switched back to "index.desktop" files, and KDE seems to like those. Weird. I'll try to figure out what it takes to get an index.theme file formatted so KDE likes it, but at least the ebuild seems to be working in the meantime. My apologies for such a boneheaded error.
Reference the kde-look.org page in the licensing section.
I've updated the "License" section of the ebuilds. They now say, "Multiple licenses. Please see the Homepage for more information"
