Description: For everyone who thought I had fallen asleep on my icons---well---maybe you're right! But I'm back and I want to create an entire set of realistic icons. Here is a glimpse and there are many more to come. They are all vector --- no PNG's (pieces of nasty garbage) here. The vector is mightier than the pixel! I am using Danny Allen's FlatSVG as a reference template (perhaps the most complete iconset ever.) I plan to replace the most common icons in use with realistic vectors. The rest can fend for themselves and get filled in with Tango or CrystalSVG. Please offer any feedback, suggestions, or requests. Enjoy!
How does one install this icon set? I hit the download link and all I get is the words to a Simon and Garfunkel song - no icons. If I do a "save as" and force it to have name like Krealicons.svg, that doesn't work either. Kcontrol cannot recognize the file as anything.
1. The HD icon is not intuitive enough, most people would know it as a simple blinking LED on their PC, not as a stack of disk platters.
2. 'Flash Drive' wont translate in other locales, better to use the USB logo/s
3. The fine details on the camera, mime-type images, photo folders will not be discernible at 16x16 sizes.
I think its great art work but needs a lot of work. Now I am not saying this because I have any artistic talent myself, kudos to you for a grreat job!
Great advice! Thank you. I realized the flash disk problem after uploading it and will fix it with the next release which should be installable. As far as the hard drive--- if someone is using KDE at this point, they probably know what a platter looks like. Let the newbies have there Crystal, this is for users not lusers. To answer the previous question on how to download this, this is a glimpse at a soon to be released iconset---please be patient. Right now, I am taking feedback, request and, if you really want to help, donations.

These icons look fantastic! Much much better than the cartoonish crystal SVG
One question - do these highly detailed icons look good in small sizes (22x22 or even 16x16)?

Yeah, I bet most Linux users can't tell a hard drive from a monitor! Maybe we are too used to Windows users...
PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE MAKE A GNOME PORT!
