Mashup Five contains a build script to create 5 different icon themes, including new folders, firefox, vlc, evolution and more. Take a look at the how-to-build.jpg. Basic build run "./mashupfive.sh build" in your terminal. The script can only be run after install and in your default user icons directory (~/.icons/ or /home/$user/.icons).
TIPS: 1. Remove the old Mashup before any upgrade. 2. Install and run mashupfive script. 3. Switch from Mashup to Mashup 1-5 with the Appearance Prefs > Customize Theme menu. 4. Run Killall gnome-panel to restart panels. 5. "sudo ln -sf ~/.icons/Mashup* /usr/share/icons/" for ROOT usage.
GNOME FOLDER BUG: The way I fix this is ALT+F2 type in "gksu nautilus" (your password) go to /usr/share/icons hit CTRL+F, type "inode" Select all with mouse then hold down "SHIFT" and press "DELETE". If your updates install the Human or Gnome-Icon-Theme you have to repeat this step to get drag and drop back and bookmark places back.

I have downloaded and installed as per instruction posted here...
All is good except for my bookmarks and folders.
Example: Music folder appears as a regular folder without the music icon.
Same for Documents,Videos, downloads, pictures, etc.
I manually fixed the folders in nautilus BUT the bookmarks still appear as regular folders.
I even did the GNOME bug fix, meaning deleting all inode files from /usr/share/icons.
Is there something Im missing?
Please let me know.

hey man im running windows and i would like to use your icons for a theme im making for a blackberry can you send me the files i dont know how else to get them
Using mashup 3.0, when dragging a file over a folder, a default (and ugly) icon appears instead of the folder one. This doesn't happen with mashup alternate.
That's a broken link. Just delete the old folder where Mashup is located, IE /home/.icons or /usr/share/icons and reinstall Mashup. For some reason broken links do not get over written, and must be deleted.

i`m new to ubuntu...how do i install this pack??
right click on your desktop, click on change desktop background, move to the theme tab, and drag and drop in the mashbit.tar.gz file.
