Transparency looks nice, but the way I would like to use it is by making all the background windows transparent (like you've did - I think) and only have the active window opaque. Is this how you're setup works?
I've seen screenshots of people that have transparency over all windows, and that isn't really practical.
I like your screenshots. This should be the future for KDE, and the way it should work with a default KDE setup.

well, it's nothing special really. i like the windows transparency effect though. kde 3.4 feature?
