Description: Animated matrix background generated using the xmatrix screensaver, KJofol interface on XMMS and SuperKaramba with the AriDynBar interface on it. The pic of Trinity is the actual background that shows through the matrix code because of the transparent konsole.
Yes he's right, I had to turn off icons on the desktop. The -root option for the screensaver makes it display this way. I placed it as a startup script in ~/.kde/Autostart/ so it would run at every boot.
I like the feel. Please, can you tell us how to put the xmatrix screensaver in the root window ? I've been playing with xscreensaver, without any lock.
This is not my screenshot but my old setup looked just like it;
/usr/X11R6/lib/xscreensaver/xmatrix -root -small -bottom -delay 85000 -density 20
I used windowmaker for mine. If you use kde you may have to turn off desktop icons.

Oh, and I used "nice 20" before the xmatrix command so it wouldn't interfere with anything.
