I created this theme for Kopete in KDE 4.1. It is very similar to Gaim but makes better use of space. For instance message timestamps can be viewed by hovering your mouse over the name as seen in the second screenshot.

UPDATE: The latest version shows the tooltip when you hover on a message. This is helpful when you "Group consecutive messages".
