to make it work on kde4, you have to copy it as root where kopete install the themes (by me it's : /usr/share/apps/kopete/styles/ i thinks it woulb be similar for you ;) )
Actually, that didn't work with me: instead, I made a config file in my home directory for KDE 4's Kopete to use, then did this (cd to the directory with the folder inside):
mkdir ~/.kde4/share/apps/kopete/styles/ && cp -rf ./Vally8\ Palsma\ Theme ~/.kde4/share/apps/kopete/styles/
I think that should work.

Ah I've used Kopete for KDE 4... With 3.5 no prbs Do you know how i must install it when I use the new Desktop ?
