Anyway, you should create a kde infrastructure for config. See KDevelop template for kde screensaver.
To compile:
gcc -o tempest tempest.c -lGL -lstdc++
Yeah, I saw the template, but I had some trouble understanding it, so I settled for an Xscreensaver hack. I do have the project already started, I just have to find out how to fit it in. If you have any specific tips for KScreensaver development, I'd be happy to learn.
