You can get the wallpaper this way. I cannot post a link as I do not know of the legality of hosting Redhat official artwork. It may be free and GPL or not, who knows. But there is a free and legal way to get it.

Download the package desktop-backgrounds-*.src.rpm
Using Archive-Manager or whatever, you can extract the default background PNG from the SRPM. That's how I got it under a non-RHEL4 (Ubuntu) system.
Nevermind. I checked and the background is not part of the proprietary redhat-artwork or redhat-logos that needs to be removed if you compile the SRPMs into an enterprise Linux based on RHEL. The background was uploaded to Gnome-Look for convenience.
