I think it's compiz, i forgot to add it to the list.. sorry :) And I am not sure about this, because I found out the ALT+MouseScroll combination by accident, but ye, if you point the window with cursor and hold left alt and scroll down with mouse, it should become transparent. Alternatively you can configure compiz conf file. But there is no way this is included with gnome without any other soft.. thought?
