Description: TaskJuggler is a modern and powerful project management tool. Its new approach to project planning and tracking is far superior to the commonly used Gantt chart editing tools. It has already been successfully used in many projects and scales easily to projects with hundreds of resources and thousands of tasks.
TaskJuggler is an Open Source tools for serious project managers. It covers the complete spectrum of project management tasks from the first idea to the completion of the project. It assists you during project scoping, resource assignment, cost and revenue planing, risk and communication management.
TaskJuggler provides an optimizing scheduler that computes your project time lines and resource assignments based on the project outline and the constrains that you have provided. The build-in resource balancer and consistency checker offload you from having to worry about irrelevant details and ring the alarm if the project gets out of hand. Its flexible "as many details as necessary"-approach allows you to still plan your project as you go, making it also ideal for new management strategies such as Extreme Programming and Agile Project Management.Last changelog:
TaskJuggler 2.4.3 fixes a number of bugs. All users are recommended to upgrade to this new version. This version also features a new configure option to build TaskJuggler without KDEPIM3 dependencies.
Thanks for the great project management tool. This is great.
Do you have any plans to port to Windows platform or when KDE4 (http://wiki.kde.org/tiki-index.php?page=KDE4+Windows+Port) starts running on Windows platform, TaskJuggler will simply run?
Well all this seems nice, but when I create a new project I get the default TaskJuggler project and I can't seem to be able to erase defined tasks and so on... How do I start up from a blank project please?
I've just compiled TaskJuggler on Edubuntu Breezy Badger (5.10) with Kububuntu packages. I had a lot of errors during compilation and had to find what packages to install. So here is a list of packages I had to install in order to compile it properly : kdepim-dev libkcal2a-dev libktnef1-dev Maybe it could be good to include a few lines in the README file to tell Debian derivatives users to run `apt-get install kdepim-dev libkcal2a-dev libktnef1-dev' before compiling it. Thank you for the great work :)
Hi there.
I installt the program wir the rmp for Suse 9.2. Then I start a new project and i get the "Software-Project", not a new, clar project. Next idea was, to delet all date and i have seen, thar i can't change everything.
Is there a way to edit the file and/or get clear new own projects or is this only a viewer?
Thanks
I recompiled, and I actually got the error on compile (I didn't notice it before). Here's the full error.

Is there a Qt4/KDE4 version planned...?
I wondered the same thing, so I went to the TaskJuggler website and read that the next major verson (TaskJuggler 3) will be Qt4-based.
you need to have a project file before starting. Where I can get this from, keeps a secret of the output of taskjuggler --help
.... excellent program, many thanks.
