Do you have the devel package as well for imagemagick? (imagemagick-dev or something like that).

As others already mentioned, the pages generated could be improved by using css. Also I think some art developers could help you improving or developing templates for really cool and smooth generated pages. You should ask at kde-artists.org or open-collab.org to get in touch with the right people for such a task, I think its worth a try.

From the screenshot seems like kallery generates the HTML for you using tables, without using templates. I suggest you do not use tables, use CSS layout instead.

amantia

Yes, it's using tables. CSS layouting may come in version 2 if I'll have time to do it (the whole new version). Until then one can fine-tune the look with the help of the templates. Andras

Nice. The reason I posted is I'd like KDE applications not to contribute to the "web pollution" by generating invalid and obsolete markup. Keep up the good work and keep an eye on the standards!

Hi I could not get past the configure ----------- checking for ImageMagick >= 6.0.0... found 6.1.8 checking for ImageMagick pre-processor flags... Everyone having this error, please send me the related part of the config.log. Seems that there is some problem with the new configure check.

I just discovered and tested this application. i tried it with imagemagick 6.1.7. it works well I think this is a very good application missing just few things to be almost perfect (for me) what i suggest - bigger font for steps title and long description to make the process more clear in mind. - step 7: the third option should be "COPY and convert images". I was doubtful and scared of loosing data, so i had to save images before giving this option a test (was confusing by option 2 which does state "copy and ....") - step 1 a third option "configure kallery" with some options such as default paths/relative paths, load foders recursively or not ...to get a simlified interface where it is pertinent What i liked in it: - does almost everything i was waiting from it - does nothing more and useless what i really liked: - it is simple, light and standalone application. The interface is just a wizard without menu, tabs ... it is ... fresh :) i'll keep using kallery benjamin NB thanks to you for the quick (and efficient) answer to my bug report for image magick 6.1.X

darrenjs

amantia

Fixed now, thanks for reporting.

Looks interesting...why not link to some example galleries generated with Kallery from your webpage?

amantia

Examples are the screenshot section [http://www.virtualartisans.com/kde/andras/en/kallery-screenshots.htm], the pictures on my homepage [http://www.geocities.com/mantiaandras/en/index.htm], various places of the KittyHooch site (well, if you don't know what is it, go to the Quanta site ;-) ), like http://www.kittyhooch.com/tshirts.php. Well, you're right, I may put those links on the project website, but...I need more time. Andras

sequitur

Ah Ha! So this is why I'm getting hits on kittyhooch.com showing Kallery. What a guy! You should change the address... http://kallery.kdewebdev.org.
