Here's a quick and dirty script to put back in what got taken out in Konverstion 1.5: MPD now playing.
You need the 'python-mpd' module.

Its useful to me, it may or may not be for you.
Last changelog:

0.2 - Report station name when listening to radio streams.
0.3 - Actually check for python-mpd
