Description: Kuake is a KDE konsole application with the look and feel of that in the Quake engine. It intends to create seamless integration of a konsole to your KDE desktop.Last changelog:
I really like this app, really easy to have a terminal near at all times. One problem though: I have a kicker panel on top and bottom of my screen (kinda Gnomish). Then when I use kuake, the top line is hidden behind the panel. Could you make it so that it respects my kicker settings? I really want to use this app!
hi, i just installed the debian package and kuake rox totaly :)
only one thing if you can add: i could use a switch on/off option - Always on top, when the konsole is opened.
Hi,
I would really like an option to start a new shell and minimize if I exit my shell. At the moment I have to manually restart kuake if I 'accidentally' press Ctrl-D
great software, love it, although i'd like to beable to split it into two panes at the bottom of my screen, like this (if it shows up right):

On xinerama I dont want it to cover both screen.
should only cover one screen.
actually, maybe as an option we could have a different terminal on each screen.
even further, two terminal could take a place on a single screen. half size, align left and right
Dont you think it6 would be nice to have this as a standart feature of konsole ????
please ... write it as a patch/addon to console and commit it to kde-unstable!!
It would be much better if Kuake would start a session of bash --login instead of an ordinary bash session, so that I've got my environmental variables and aliases in Kuake as well as in Konsole.
hey, I've just installed this brilliant app, but I'm wondering how I can get it to load on startup.
Usually my sessions are restored, but kuake isn't restored with my other programs (JuK, etc).
I've tried writing a shellscript and putting it in $HOME/.kde/Autostart (which is how I start xscreensaver, for example) but it doesnt work.
Does anyone else have any ideas?
Truly a wonderful app. No longer do i need to clutter up my screen with konsole windows. My only problem is, what if i need multiple consoles? Do you think you could add a session feature? One where you can easily switch been different quake sessions with a key command of your choosing? Other than this, I love your app.

I've been waiting for this exact thing for quite a while now. =)

Doh, it doesn't compile for kde 3.1/qt 3.1 :( sheesh, what a pitty. A backport, anyone? please? greetings, owczi
The next version I'll make sure compiles on KDE < 3.2.

I use screen within kuake. It gives me multiple console windows that I can use my keyboard to cycle through.
It uses the same schema as konsole, and is always there when I need it. Thank you for taking the time to create this little gem. Amy
