Description: KShowmail is a POP3 mail checker for the KDE with these features: show number, size and more information about mails on pop3 servers in a list view, show the mail headers or complete mails, delete unwanted mail from server by configurable filters.Last changelog:
I wanted to make sure that the mins between autologin means mins between checking for mail.Correct?
Great app, kmail's filters, especially the pop filters don't seem to work. Plus I like seeing what's on there before downloading and filtering. You should intergrate this with kmail.
Also, can I use kmail to dl the emails via kshowmail?
Thanks, great app!
kshowmail does not work with SuSE 9.3.
This error appears:
An error occured during authentication: SASL(-7): invalid parameter supplied: Parameter error in client.c near line 439 wird nicht unterstützt
I have all SASL-Libs and plugins installed.
I use KDE 3.4.1 Level "a".
What can i do?
Thanks
Hans
I must say I think that Kshowmail is a fantastic little programme. I have 10 different email accounts and it is a great way to scan through emails received.
Hi Eggert,
Just a quick note. Visited your site, looks like it hasn't been updated recently.
Just curious, what's up with the kmail integration? It has been planned for some time now. Is it gonna happen someday soon?
And do you have further development plans?
Greetings,
deech
Actually, no. KMail integration is not an issue anymore. The last feature upgrade made filters available, that's what a lot of users wanted. The command interface allows dcop calls, that's the way to go.
Will update the homepage soon ;-)
The filters in Kmail are great except
that the action Copy to Folder is missing.
If I had that action I could copy each non-spam folder to a central HAM folder and use a second action in the same filter to then distribute the message (with a Move to folder) to the correct content folder. My cron file could then run sa-learn on a central HAM and a central SPAM folder once each day, making my life a lot easier. Any hope for a Copy to Folder action in a Kmail of the future?
Im linux newbie, have Xandros deluxe 2,
I assume i can get these apps via xandros network?
is their Kmail similar to yours?
can't save imported address book,i exported from yahoo,in yahoo.csv " format.Yet i see it entering all the details, emails and names corectly, after which it seems to delete the data? as it "saves data"?

Kshowmail works fine for me in Suse 9.3 kde 3.4.1. As it is not included in the 9.3 distribution did you use the rpm from suse 9.2?
IMAP support would be nice
Please tell me exactly why a program like kshowmail should support IMAP. After all, you can use kmail for that. Eggert
