Yeap. Google dropped the DP(DATA PACK) way of sending data, as far as I tested it. The data mining code must be rewritten. Keep tuned on the sourceforge site Regards,
OK! thanks a lot

after booting the pc the kcheckgmail doesnt make a connexion. After having connected with konqueror once, kcheckgmail works ! Also the first time (after boot) that i try to connect to gmail with konqueror i have to loggin. I did nt have this behavour before, may be something changed in gmail authentication ?
Please try this: On KCheckGMail>Configure KCheckGMail>Network check the "Use https connections for checking mail" checkbox On GMail>Settigs>Browser connection set the "Don't always use https" radio button. It make KCheckGMail work again or not ?

I deleted the cookies og google in konqueror without success. is it something changed in gmail today ?
Hi, KCheckGMail is working Ok with all my accounts. Perhaps Google is rolling out a new GMail version :( Can you post the debug info on sourceforge ? Without that I have no clue about what is going on. Regards,
ok i posted here , is ok ? http://sourceforge.net/tracker/index.php but i have no errors , i dont have any message to post: [dimitris@localhost ~]$ kcheckgmail [dimitris@localhost ~]$
in kcheckgmail options i checked https connexion and is ok now !
You are totally right. I was able to reproduce the behavior you just described by unchecking the Use https connections checkbox. Gmail now uses https connections by default. Read about it in the Gmail official blog: http://gmailblog.blogspot.com/2010/01/default-https-access-for-gmail.html
ok thanks!
Mandriva has dropped all kde3 packages for the 2010.0 and is not availiable any package of kcheckgmail for KDE4 As i am kchackgmail user i did a package for mandriva i586 KDE4 http://www.mandrivalinux.gr/rpm/2010.0/i586/kcheckgmail-0.5.8-1mlgr2010.0.i586.rpm and i posted the update of greek translation here : https://sourceforge.net/tracker/?func=detail&aid=2883481&group_id=116095&atid=673719
First of all: Thanks for your work. The first KDE4 release will be named 0.6.0 I don't know the Mandriva packaging naming convention, Wouldn't be good if the package name reflected the fact that's a development snapshot ? I find the current name misleading. Maybe adding git-14ff91d6 to the package name, for example. Pls check the KCheckGMail's SF.net patch tracker. Regards,
if the kde4 version will be 0.6.0 i think is better to name this 0.5.9 ? like this : http://www.mandrivalinux.gr/rpm/2010.0/i586/kcheckgmail-0.5.9.git_14ff91d6-1mlgr2010.0.i586.rpm if there is any patchs i can find them here ? http://sourceforge.net/tracker/?group_id=116095&atid=673719
Hi, Actually 0.5.9 is reserved to the KDE3 version. If you have to put an release number in the package name I suggest something like this: kcheckgmail-0.5.8.git_xxxxxxxx if not, just: kcheckgmail.git_xxxxxxxx After the first KDE4 release the package should (obviously) contain the name of the last KDE4 release. My comment about the SF.net tracker was about your Greek translation (already applied). Thanks for your time Regards,
ok i understood . i have allready include the translation in the archive. http://www.mandrivalinux.gr/rpm/2010.0/i586/kcheckgmail-0.5.8.git_14ff91d6-1mlgr2010.0.i586.rpm There is a forum for kcheckgmail users ? I did nt found, it would be a good idea.
A dead one. There is a forum in the SF.net site. https://sourceforge.net/projects/kcheckgmail/forums/forum/396869
the last week i am not able to connect to gmail. It says that the user or the password is wrong. I tried many times to be sure that my indetifiants are corrects but i still cannot be connected kcheckgmail 0.5.7.7 kde 4.3.2 mandriva 2010.0
Same here on KDE 3.5.10, Kubuntu 8.04. It only connects when Gmail is also open in Konqueror.
The issue remains with newly released 0.5.8.
