The name is derived from the graphical user interface frame, or "chrome", of web browsers. What's the difference between Google Chrome and the Chromium browser?
"Chromium" is the project name while "Google Chrome" is the name of the browser.
Fast and light, although Linux has good browsers based on WebKit like midori and Arora. And Firefox is still the best.
