the customization is done who you would like.
the important thing for this look ( transparent ) , is to enable background transparency to the same value as the window manager borders transparency ( i use around 80% )
other settings are mainly using the aqua theme , i think.
the thin line, if i think i understand what you are meaning, is a bug on qtcurve 1.5.1. i already reported it to the dev :)
you can enable "draw dark outer border" on window manager windeco as a work around.
also , the window manager is kwin, not emerald

That is QTCurve >1.5. I think the line removal be done via the window decorators (emerald), making and modifying window decorators is a piece of cake with that.

Which version of qtcurve have you used? Any instruction about custumization?
For example, how remove the thin line between titlebar and path?
