Description:
The rated scoring script uses the rating as a factor in the scoring process. Higher ratings leds to higher score. The rating is factored in each play.
I make no promises but the script hasn't messed up my system yet.

formula:
score=((prevscore * playcount)+ 2 * procent + rating)/(playcount + 3)

Usage:
You must use ratings for this script to have any point.
Run the script, and it will be used to calculate scores for your tracks from then on. The script can be tweek by editing the file.

Known flaws:
Script reads rating when the song starts playing. Changes made after that is not considered. To make sure a new rating is used you could stop and restart the script or pause and play the song.

I will be looking in this for a future version. Suggestions are welcome.

Dependencies:
amaroK 1.4
Ruby 1.8

Hi! I'm using it, cause the rating it's pretty important in giving a score. For the flaw: i edited it and added an else rat = 'dcop...' at the and of the case and it gets the rating if some notifications happens, ie change the volume or pause the track. This way it's more confortable than stoppin and starting the script.

as you see Well.. I won't upgrade this script. any time soon. :)
