Very nice idea, I was in the mood for changing my KDE appearance...and you made my day! Excellent! May I suggest a few things to the artist? I would like to see a shadow under the icons, it would make them "on top" of the painting. Do you have other paintings, for the other desktops? Some icons are missing, and Firefox and Konqueror share the same. Any way to help the artist to produce more icons? Your work gave me the idea to have a PREHISTORIC kde, cavern like, with Lascault PAinting, dinosaur icons, cuneiform fonts, etc... Then we could have a Historic KDE contest, like Egyptian KDE, Roman, Gothic, etc...would be nice and fun, and a bit educative, no? Staying in the artistic style of yours, we could have different styles of painting apply, impresionist, cubic, renaissance, roccoco, all to the glory of art! Beautiful, I enjoyed your work!

well..first off its very well made, and good job. But it is a bit sloppy..i don't want to be mean or anything, but it should be a bit more clean cut, i understand that the grundge factor is cool nowadays, and i really like that, but usually it should look..i dunno..better..i'm not really sure how to put it but good job anyways!

Divilinux

i always vote good for original stuff..even if i don't like..:)

AGNXadmin

very different. I like it. too bad it would look funny in my soft-loft apartment on a dell laptop! I might use it for the heck of it! good job.

joplus

really very nice. thanks for your hard work.

i think it's excessively conceptual... original though...

bink

that's the first thing that popped in my head when I saw the thumbnail... I thought it was a map of europe with little flags on it lol Its really a gorgeous concept :)

Diablo82

This is kind refreshing, it looks quite good. Maybe you should look for another style and windec, 'cause plastik doesn't fit your theme so much. Keep up the good work.

jaguarwan

especially the desktop screenshot :)

kness

Something ironic? Do you have any problems to reproduce the screenshot on your desktop with the theme content?

jaguarwan

Arf, nothing ironic here, just bad english... I really think this theme is great, and thank you for releasing it.

Hey, that's really a great and unique idea! I can't image for now if this theme would work as a single icon theme in a productive environment (they perhaps look to similar? ;-) ) but a desktop like this would surely look very nice! So, go on - getting a full theme with "all" icons, a color scheme and a nice windeco would be an enrichment for KDE.

kness

You are right, the design is not created with respect to usability. It is more a creativ early version for a few people. More will coming soon (icons, a win-deco... perhabs), but the main feeling will not be changed. The very similar look of the icons is a part of the global feeling of the theme in my opinion.

meyerm

Sure - as I said, I wouldn't install it on the workstations and PCs at work / university. But as my own private desktop or in a kiosk alike environment it could look really cool!

RND

This looks rather unique. I shall try it soon. Perhaps use a windec other than plastik? Plastik is overused imo.
