Hi, I like your theme and I use the colour scheme linked here. :) I'd only like a better contrast in lists (for example in 'Systemsettings/Desktop/Desktop effects/All effects'). The light grey is a bit hard to read on the bright yellow fields/background. Regards, Sladi

Hi, first this window decoration is great, thank you. But I have a problem as a border and a titlebar of window are not repainted correctly if move acive window over it. kubuntu 9.04, ppa kde 4.3, decoration is installed from ubuntu repository

i love your theme, it`s way better than the standart. just one question: how can i edit?? i want the elements in the tree-view shown as a + with a frame around it like in windows-explorer. is it possible to do it with the qt3-designer. if yes....how?? greets matthias

skulptor

Hi Matthias, Skulpture is not a theming engine with replaceable graphics, so it is not possible to "edit" the theme, unless you change the source code. You might want to look at QuantumStyle, if you want something editable.

Hi, ever since I started using KDE 4.1.x I have this wonderful theme all along. Then in-between I switched to Oxygen for a couple of days and then back to Skulpture again now. But now I cannot seem to find the Window decoration in the list :O Where did it go missing? I have updated to KDE 4.2.2 with QT 4.5 in-between and am on Fedora 10 64bit. I re-downloaded the theme and re-install it again but to no avail. The style is fine but no decoration in the list. Hence I use some other now. But I would like to get this back. Any ideas?

Hi, did you install from source or did you use the packages from my repository at the opensuse site? I am not sure if my packages work with the updated KDE, because the build service assumes original distribution packages. If you installed from source code, please use pastebin.com to show me the install_log.txt, maybe you are just missing the kdebase-workspace-devel files. Also if I understand google correctly, the Skulpture packages are supposed to be in the official Fedora 9, 10, and 11 repositories, so you might try installing it from there. Maybe you need to uninstall old files. See https://admin.fedoraproject.org/pkgdb/packages/name/kde-style-skulpture

Hey thanks for that, never knew it was in the repo. I will try from there. Also, I installed from the rpm before. I will get back here after the workout.

kde4-style-skulpture.x86_64 0.2.2-8.1 installed kde-style-skulpture.x86_64 0.2.2-4.fc10 updates Alright it is there, but i'm apprehensive about installing the older version. What do you recommend?

skulptor

They are both version 0.2.2, the number after the hyphen is just incremented on each .spec file change. Please install the version from the Fedora repositories.

dictionary

Yep, that worked. Thanks :)

Ace2016

Is it possible to remove the title text shadow?

skulptor

Comment out the first drawText call (line 421 in kwin-client/kwin_skulpture.cpp) by adding // at the front.

Ace2016

i made a dekorator theme out of it :D

minotaur

Great work! I'm using it right now on Kubuntu 9.04 beta... Thanks!

PoL666

It's good yeah, but a litle oldy, should be more modern.

quuuux

Very nice decoration and style... I really like the underlying design principles, plain and simple yet pleasing to the eye. Thanks!

skulptor

Thank you for your kind words :)

RRios

Awful.

diefne

Constructive criticism is not for you, eh?

skulptor

http://skulpture.maxiom.de/playground/skulpture-hacking.txt Only add comments about decoration here, otherwise use theme/style entry. Read warnings, happy hacking!

GuSArg

Hi, It is possible to add Round borders feature? This Style looks nice btw ;) Cheers.

skulptor

Well, this decoration has been designed to fit Skulpture widget style, so no round edges for now, sorry. Future versions (0.2.x) are planned to have rewritten frame code, but I cannot give any ETA yet. Could you try and test the binary package? I got no feedback if the Debian package actually works with Kubuntu/Ubuntu. You might need to wait for official KDE 4.1 packages in your KDE repositories, though. Should be out shortly. Thanks, Christoph

GuSArg

Hi, I didn't tested any binary for Kubuntu, i prefer to compile this, since not everyone really knows how to package a good debian binary with all its dependencies. Yes, i know... looks your style has no "rounded details" Very nice Anyway, i just told these cause i like the window border much than the hole widgets style itself. Cheers.

GuSArg

I have this problem when I try to install (compile) in Kubuntu Hardy, kde4.1rc1: http://pastebin.com/m7a45c815 Cheers.

GuSArg

Never mind.. fixed installing required dependency: kdebase-workspace-dev You should put this somewhere, together with kdelibs5-dev if necesary... Cheers.
