Hi, there is a possibility to have it work on hight resolution? (4K). On 2K screen it work fine , but on 4K all the metal skin disappear. Thanks !
I'm using this on a dual 4K monitor setup on Manjaro with no issues.
Damn, this is fun. After I attached the 2nd monitor (4K) the metal skin is disappeared . With 2K and dolphin in full screen the metal skin was cutted on the bottom (few cm). So I thought that on higher resolution this could be automatically disabled . But if you say so... where investigate? At his place there is a light-gray as uniform color #ededed. I tried to delete the theme , re-download and install it, still the same. Is like a curse, "you must not have the desktop as you like" LOL.
Ok, I'm not an alien... is a bug https://github.com/tsujan/Kvantum/issues/529 not directly relate to this theme but affect this also. If you use the scaling in Plasma you will go in this issue. After you pass the 100% in settings>hardware>display>scaling the transparency and the skin theme will go away. (At least at reboot) For a 32" K4 don use the scaling is impossible. If I'm not wrong on the 2K I was using 125% of scaling, so must be some update that brought into this issues. By the way the pattern of the brushed metal is for lower resolution than 2K. On the left (and right) of dolphin's shell you can see how the pattern interrupt and restart with the light gray tone. Would be very nice to have it uniform as a symmetric pattern so that it can reproduce it self without generate any junction. This theme , right now , work only at 100% scaling...
Here is a 3840x2160 screenshot of my desktop running Manjaro 20.0.1: http://my.opendesktop.org/s/bXeffw9PJBFpTMF I have not enabled Transparent Dolphin View in Kvantum Manager Hacks. Also, I am not scaling. The global scale is set to 100% in Display Settings. Instead, I get around this by increasing font DPI under Settings > Appearance > Fonts. I am using 144 DPI for Fonts and everything is readable. Hope this helps.
Thanks for your time :-) This tip of your is usable. Despite some proportion and some gtk apps icons ,can be a valid solution till the update of the software. (ps: If you enlarge dolphin at full screen you'll see the background repeat.)
On latest Arch at 21-05-2020.
10 Love it, thanks for bringing back Brushed Metal and "lickable" buttons.
