A modern and refined re-interpretation of Ambiance for Ubuntu 18.04
Nautilus and Tweak-tool have a new and modern look. And theming is persistent to the smallest detail. Combined with the Shell-theme, background, and icon-theme it really looks consistent.
There are Youtube -videos made by Charlie Henson about these themes, so check it out:
NEW: A variant of Telinkrin: Telinkrin-Gradient wich is the theme using gradient-colors, both available for gnome version <=gnome 3.29, and one for gnome 3.30+. visit https://www.opendesktop.org/p/1273871/
NEW: versions for the gnome 3.30 desktop.
NEW, is the color-variant Telinkrin, All with matching wallpaper, icons and shelltheme
Now there are two themes for each variant:
Telenkrin-Buttons-left / Telenkrin-Buttons-right or Arrongin-Buttons-left / Arrongin-Buttons-Right !!
Please, try and rate, comment. Any input or criticism is welcome.
About the shell-theme: the dock is not themed. If you use dash-to-dock, then use its settings to match the dock to your own liking. Telinkrin's shell-theme has its own teal coloring.
There is an matching iconset avaliable : Arrongin-Telinkrin-icon-themes The iconthemes have a common but seperate downloadsection here at Gnomelook.ORG
Issues:
You will notice that resizing the sidebar in nautilus behaves strange. This is not a bug. Visually the sidebar will not change (to keep it alligned with the headerbar), but you will still see the pointer for resizing. For this to work properly, pleas keep the sidebar-size small as possible.
Requirements:
GTK+ 3.20 or later. Only standard (or Ubuntu) gnome-desktop is supported. Ready for Ubuntu 18.04 Disable gnome-extensions that reside on the headerbar because they mess up the headerbar-theming.
Because of the special theming, window-buttons-layout (min/max/close) are to be put at the correct side. You can choose the left or right side version of the theme in the downloads.
Extract and put it into the themes directory i.e. ~/.themes/ or /usr/share/themes/ (create it if necessary). Then change the theme via distribution specific tool like Gnome tweak tool or Unity tweak tool, etc. (If you use Snap-packages instead of app's from the normal repositories than definitely put the theme to /usr/share/themes/.
Extract the Extra-file to get the wallpaper. The wallpapers available are free to use, because I made them myself (GPLv2)Last changelog:
9I use Telinkrin every day since several years now.
Excellent theme, very clear and paceful.
A dark version would put the cherry on the cake to get a 10 ;)
Beautiful theme, but my folder icons don't seem to have changed, they're still the blue which was the theme I had before adding this one, am I missing something?
Great theme! But how do I tweak the window resize margins? The margin where the mouse switches to the resize arrow is very wide, especially at the bottom. I'm referring to the resize arrow that is triggered by hovering a window border. This margin seems to extend twice as wide below the bottom border compared to the "default" themes.
The screenshots look fantastic and they're grey themes which I'm looking for. But why is there only one black theme updated?
I downloaded 'Telinkrin-Gradient-right-3.32+.tar.xz'.
This version is good too, but the font colour of calendar on TopBar is light green and not readable.
The font issue actually is with clock, not calendar.
Someone else (1337btd) has already mentioned and provided a screenshot (https://user-images.githubusercontent.com/11943860/54481875-504b3880-4819-11e9-9ca8-1d74a41a7e4f.png).
Some bugs:
- clock font unreadable (black is recommended)
- main user menu in panel not readable (replace white with black)
- nautilus pathbar buttons are larger than search/toggle view/options
9so good but arrongin need to have a gnome 3.32 support. there is a huge space in gnome details if you install 3.30 version on gnome 3.32. hope you guys will support 3.32 soon. nice work btw
2 bugs in Telinkrin 3.32, Gnome shell theme:
1°: The clock font color is unreadable.

would you please update Telinkrin theme (the one with Calendar font in grey color) for 3.32+ as well?
