regimp3

Description:
OK folks. After some time figuring out how to proceed with regimp I finally think I'm on the right track. So I skipped regimp2 because I ran into a dead end there and now this is regimp3. Anyway this is a 0.1 preview version. DO NOT install this if you are uncomfortable with alpha-software.
Right now you have to minimize regimp3 to get rid of all the windows temporarily. You cannot put other windows over GIMP at this time but this should be easy to solve and I will see to this over the next week or so. One more thing:
I saw this app caused lots of controversial
discussions last time. So - I thought this
was probably obvious - but anyway:
If you don't like this, think it's not useful
and you are far better off without this:
Why don't you just not use?
Honestly I'm puzzled why so many people
somehow want me to force using GIMP
in a certain way. This is about choice.
If you really like 100 windows spread over
multiple desktops - that's perfectly OK
with me but please don't expect anybody
else to feel the same way. Last changelog:

New:
regimp3 contains a KDE toolbar and menubar.
The Open-function opens a KDE file open dialog but opens the image in GIMP afterwards (Does not work for save yet).
You can close GIMP by closing regimp3
(either via File-Quit or by using the
window-close-button of regimp3)
Next big step would be to use GNOME
ATK to allow a complete menubar.

The newest version of gimp now lets you combine your tool windows into tabs, makes for much less clutter. While it's not the same as putting everything inside a container window, it is helpful. Check it out at the new gimp website: http://mmmaybe.gimp.org/ as of this message, the newest is 1.3.21 has tons of other useful things too...like rewritten interface using GTK2, a menubar appears at the top of the images (no more right clicking to do anything! woohoo!), many new filters and some new tools.
I'm pretty sure that regimp3 needs gimp 1.3.x. I'm not positive on this one... but I did visit the webpage (that the author provided) and noticed the 1.3 requirements. hmmm...
They won't allow direct links any longer. Well get it from here: http://rgpublic.tripod.com/regimp3/index.htm
