Are there any background images like these under the default KDE packages? I haven't found them anywhere.
I don't think there's any point of putting such a feature in a DE, unless you add some examples.
Could you please talk to kdeartists and try to put it in the KDE3 CVS?

these look much cleaner than the keramik kicker backgrounds on this site, way to go man, how about some darker colors :)

... now that I remember there IS actually an example, I think, included in one of the themes, called "wood". The effect is not very nice though :(
