Description: I got bored of the standard OpenOffice.org splash screen so I decided to make my own. The package includes splashes in the following colors:
Aqua Black Blue Green Gray Navy Orange Pink Red
Enjoy!! :-)Last changelog:
v2.00 Added a new style of the splash. I hope you like it!!
Love the splash screen! Thank you for your work. Sorry in advance for my ignorance...can you tell me how to install this? A previous submission said to replace the intro.bmp file, but when I looked at the file, it's different from the actual splash I see when OO is loading. I'm confused. Thanks.
Yes, you are correct. You want to replace the original intro.bmp file with the new one(s) that I made. For me (I'm using Fedora Core 6) the file is located in /usr/lib/openoffice.org2.0/program/ but I believe it is different for other distros. I'm not sure why your intro.bmp would be the wrong file. I would change the name of the original file and insert the new to experiment. I hope it works out for you!! :-)
Thanks. I'm using openSUSE 10.2 and actually renamed 2 files - found under /usr/lib/000-2.0/program/ - openintro_suse.bmp and intro.bmp. Then I copied your files to that directory and named my favorite "intro_navy.bmp" to intro.bmp. Anyway, it works and looks great. Much obliged!
Very good work! I like the blue logo, but the black one will fit better with my current desktop theme. Seriously, it's a excellent work for an excellent program. Keep the good work.
Cheers!
